Mediating About Children and Consent Orders

18 September 2014

GOOD NEWS for families and children: before April 2014 many parents decided against mediating plans for their children because there was no way of making the proposals legally binding by way of a court order (known as the 'no order' principle).  Since the recent introduction of the single family court, the court is now required to consider non-court resolution at a number of junctures, and the new court application form C100 has a box to allow parents to seek a consent order for their child arrangements.
